Global Defense Budgets is headed by Mark Stoker, for 10 years Defense Economist at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London prior to which he spent 12 years in various research and analytical roles within the investment banking industry.

As Defense Economist at the IISS he was responsible for the economic content for a variety of publications including the annual publication The Military Balance which required the collection and interpretation of macro- and defense economics for around 170 countries.

His detailed knowledge of global defense economics combined with a thorough understanding of international macroeconomics results in concise and informed research and analysis of developments that are likely to have an impact on the defense sector and government budgets.

Other members of the Global Defense Budgets team are specialists in either regional politics and economics or have specific military knowledge.
